The Gozo Model Car Association Championship 2018-2019 is nearing its end.With the 9th round held at the weekend, it leaves just one round left for this season.

Organised by the GMCA, and held at its Ta’ Xhajma Track for competitors with Truggies and Buggies, the results are as follows:

In the final of the Truggies Class, Christian Farrugia was placed first on 29 laps with a Mugen Chassis and a Novarossi Engine taking 10 points to keep first place of the Championship table with 51 points.

He was followed by Mark Zammit on 28 laps with a Mugen Chassis and a Reds Engine who received 8 points. Third place was won by Anthony Camilleri also with 28 laps with a Mugen Chassis and an OS Engine.

Then in the final of the Buggies Class, Miguel Attard came first on 29 laps with an Intech chassis and an Alpha Engine taking 10 points to keep second place in the Championship table with 42 points.

He was followed by Gary Barber on 27 laps with a Mugen chassis and a Novarossi Engine who received 8 points. Third place was won by Mario Grech on 26 laps with a Intech Chassis and a Sirio Engine.

At the end of the day the winners of the final event were photographed on the podium to the applause of their fellow competitors and supporters. The event was sponsored by 4wheelhobby Malta.
